Our History
The Australian Pup & Handler Competition has been the premier pup play event in Australia since it was founded by Tycho in 2017 as a way to bring together the pup and handler communities of Australia.
APHC is is more than just a contest to find the country's best pup and handler for the year - it's a series of events and a celebration of human pup play, with social activities, educational workshops and opportunities to meet likeminded people.
After two years of COVID-induced hiatus APHC returned in 2022. In 2023, APHC will be held in Western Australia for the first time ever.
Past winners of APHC have gone on to compete for - and win - international pup and handler titles.
2017
APHC 2017 was held in May 2017 in Melbourne. It was hosted by Vic-PAH and the head producer was Pup Tycho.
